RWE launches Scottish supplier directory

RWE has announced a new Scottish Supplier Directory for companies interested in providing goods and services to their own pipeline of projects, as well as to the industry at large.
Suppliers based in Scotland are encouraged to register their details through the portal while, in turn, businesses looking to hire new entrepreneurs will also be able to search the directory, ensuring greater visibility and adoption, said RWE.
From today, the RWE Scottish Supplier Directory will open for new registrations. It will then be accessible to all companies, whether registered or not, for consultation from mid-January 2022.
RWE has created this searchable database to make it easier for its own entrepreneurs and other industry entrepreneurs to access businesses registered in Scotland, and to maximize the opportunities emerging from the growing renewable energy sector.
The company is developing the UK’s largest offshore wind pipeline and plans to expand its Scottish renewable energy base as part of a wider commitment to invest £ 15 billion in the UK through 2030.
In addition, a recent RWE funded report with ORE Catapult reported that the fabrication of low carbon concrete foundations for Crown Estate Scotland’s new ScotWind rental cycle floating wind projects also presents a major opportunity for ports. and local businesses.
RWE was a pioneer in the UK offshore wind industry and is today the world’s No. 2 in offshore wind, developing and building some of the most advanced offshore wind projects.
The company is also taking a keen interest in new and emerging technologies such as floating wind power and hydrogen. She identifies opportunities that will benefit from RWE’s experience in fixed offshore wind and is involved in a number of floating wind demonstration projects around the world, with a view to being a long-term partner for the ‘Scotland.
