Forescout Announces Intention to Acquire Cysiv

Forescout Technologies, Inc., announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Cysiv, a cybersecurity innovator that uses its cloud platform to improve detection and response to real threats. With this acquisition, Forescout will leverage Cysiv’s threat detection engine to analyze a wealth of network asset and communications data automatically collected by Forescout’s platform. According to the company, this comprehensive data across computing, IoT, OT, and IoMT devices, along with other critical data sources, enables better real-world threat detection and response so customers can operate more securely and more efficiently. efficient.
Upon closing of the acquisition, Cysiv will join Forescout. “Organizations need to be able to reduce the billions of data points on their networks to a handful of real, actionable threats – automatically. The acquisition is expected to close in July 2022, subject to satisfaction of closing conditions and receipt of applicable regulatory approvals and follows its acquisition of CyberMDX which further strengthens Forescout’s computing, IoT and OT device coverage with IoMT expertise.
