Every Marvel character expected in Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2
With a solid showcase from Sony at their recent live streaming event, one of the biggest titles announced was Insomniac’s Spider-man 2, the full sequel to their 2018 hit, Spider Man. As the 2020s Spider-Man: Miles Morales The spinoff was a solid entry into the series, fans are eager to see where Insomniac follows Peter’s story.
Unfortunately, the teaser leaves fans with little to no information on the sequel’s story or the characters who will appear. However, important Spider-Men appearances from Peter and Miles suggest that they will both play significant roles in the story, while a voiceover from Kraven the Hunter and a brief glimpse of Venom hints at the conflicts at to come.
12 Otto Octavius knows Peter’s secret identity
There are actually good reasons for Peter’s former mentor to appear and not appear in the sequel. If Insomniac plans to use the villain in a later entry, that entry is the perfect excuse for the disgraced scientist to spend time simmering in the raft. However, Otto Octavius is sitting on incredibly dangerous information – he knows exactly who Peter is. And, if it’s something like “One More Day” or the next Spider-Man: No Path Home, the narrative potential of revealing Peter’s identity is simply too rich to be left out.
11 Black Cat has a tumultuous past with Peter
While the first game’s DLC is largely a festival of rehearsal compared to its fantastic main story, it featured a character with an exceptional talent for causing trouble: Felicia Hardy aka Black Cat. The city that never sleeps reveals that Peter and Felicia dated for a while after he and MJ went their separate ways, allowing the salacious thief to trick Peter into believing that they shared a son who had been kidnapped by Hammerhead. Although ultimately a ruse, Felicia seems to have an odd knack for showing up when Peter least expects it.
ten Things could get scaly for Curt Connors
The post-credit scene in Miles Morales follows the post-credit scene from the original game, Norman Osborn demanding that his son be released from confinement. While Norman here only refers to the scientist by his first name, the game’s subtitles reveal that the character is none other than Curt Connors, perhaps better known as the Lizard.
Judging from the footage, it’s clear that Connors has yet to undergo his transformation into a scaly reptile. But, if the events of the first game are any indication – with Norman inadvertently creating Mister Negative and Doctor Octopus via Devil’s Breath – then it’s only a matter of time before Connors meets a similar fate.
9 Rio Morales holds a seat on the city council
Miles’ mother was featured in Insomniac’s first two outings; it makes no sense why she wouldn’t have a major role in the sequel to come, especially now that she finds herself in a position of power on city council. Plus, Rio Morales is Miles’ version of Aunt May – she’s the guardian figure who is always on the hunt for her son. And, since she is now up to date with Miles’ superhero adventures, she will no doubt be worried about the ominous threats the Spider-Men will face in the upcoming sequel.
8 It’s not Spider-Man without JJJ Trash Talk
Simply put, it’s not really Spider Man unless J. Jonah Jameson is involved in some way or another. The zealous publisher is well known for his constant smear campaigns on the web slinger, and is commonly known for his association with the Bugle of the day. However, JJJ retired from the tabloid in this sequel, choosing to continue his “good” job against the crawler by espousing conspiracy theories on his own podcast. The actions would lead Danika Hart to launch her own rival podcast to support those responsible for the Web by Miles Morales.
7 Wilson Fisk has all the right connections
He appeared in Spider Man and still in Spider-Man: Miles Morales. So it would make sense for Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin to appear in Spider-man 2. As Peter takes out the beefy crime boss during the opening of the 2018 Insomniac game, his downfall sparked the rise of Martin Li’s Inner Demons. Miles Morales sees Kingpin make a cameo appearance as he unsuccessfully attempts to escape the raft. If enemies Peter and Miles are fighting in the Spider-man 2 trailer are indeed handy, so Crime Lord could very well be doing nothing right again.
6 Mary Jane Watson still works for the bugle
In this continuity, Mary Jane Watson is a determined and relentless journalist working for the Bugle of the day to get the latest scoop on what’s going on around the Big Apple. Her actions ultimately led to an altercation with her ex, prompting the couple to work together to resolve the Devil’s Breath crisis. After Otto’s defeat, MJ and Peter reconnect with their relationship, and as soon as the Spider-Man: Miles MoralesIt was implied that the two were still together, which means fans should expect to see more of Ms. Watson in the sequel.
5 Green Goblin is teased with Norman Osborn
As Mister Negative and Doctor Octopus take center stage, they are the main antagonists of 2018 Spider Man, Mayor Norman Osborn is the real source of Peter Parker’s woes. In a desperate attempt to save his son, Norman invested an inordinate amount of money and resources in a “cure” called Devil’s Breath, which was turned into a weapon by the Sinister Six.
However, when MJ searches Norman’s penthouse during the Devil’s Breath Crisis, she finds something even more sinister: a goblin helmet prototype with bombs, suggesting that Norman has already started to kiss his villainous Jester character. green. It’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when Insomniac chooses to pay this dark path.
4 Kraven the hunter is on the hunt again
While this is not actually confirmed, many fans suspect that the voice in the Spider-man 2 The trailer is owned by Sergei Kravinoff, better known as Kraven the Hunter. The way the dialogue is presented certainly suggests it as such, hinting that Insomniac might choose to adapt the popular comic book “The Last Kraven Hunt”. If so, then Peter and Miles are going to be in real trouble when the Russian comes looking for them, thus asking the question: will they survive the hunt?
3 Will Harry Osborn’s Venom be a friend or an enemy?
Revealed by a brief lightning bolt, Venom fans see the end of the Spider-man 2 the trailer is unrelated to Eddie Brock; it’s more of Harry Osborn, as the events of the previous two franchise entries suggest. Presumably, in a desperate attempt to save his son, Norman allowed the black symbiote to bond with him. However, it’s still unclear whether or not Harry’s Venom will be a friend or foe in the sequel. But if he befriends the Wall Creepers, he’ll likely brawl with them once or twice first.
2 Miles Morales is still active as Spider-Man
Miles Morales gave fans a new take on a new Spider-Man that felt distinctly different from the refined style of Peter Parker. Not only does Miles have Venom stealth and strike abilities, but his more savage and spirited fighting style makes the title a real spectacle to play. Fortunately, it appears Miles continues to be just as active during the events of Spider-man 2, giving hope to fans excited to take on the role of Miles again.
1 The sequel continues the story of Peter Parker
Spider-man 2, of course, is inevitably a story about Peter Parker. While head of franchise strategy and game studio relations Ryan Schneider has promised Insomniac will explore the stories of Peter and Miles in this title, Peter has higher stakes in this conflict based teaser images, notably through Harry’s Venom. 2018 Spider Man establishes that Peter, MJ and Harry were all very close once. While this isn’t the first time he’s done it, it will nonetheless be difficult for Peter to confront an old friend.
