The Institute of Advanced Virology (IAV) is an autonomous institution under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Kerala which focuses on cutting edge research initiatives in virology. IAV plans to operate across all eight departments in specific areas of virology. To strengthen research activities, we are seeking highly dynamic and committed scientists for appointment to the following permanent positions on a direct recruitment/delegation basis.

Job name 3: Scientist C

Age: 37 years

Wage scale: 15600-39100 GP6600 (according to 6th CPC)

Qualifications:

Essential:

• Three-year master’s degree in medical/dental sciences (MD/DNB/MDS); or doctorate in
General Microbiology/Medical Microbiology/Biotechnology/
Biochemistry/Virology/Immunology/Structural Biology
• 3 years post qualification research experience in a reputable field
National or international research organizations in the field of
the department chosen by the applicant
• Original research publications by the first author, other than systematic reviews, in
the area of ​​the department chosen by the candidate in reputable Pubmed/SCI indexed peer-reviewed journals

Desirable:

• Research publication(s) of the corresponding author in the field of the department
opted for a reputable Pubmed/SCI peer-reviewed journal(s).

• 15 years of experience in biomedical research, including clinical research in

  biomedical and clinical research in Pubmed/SCI indexed peer-reviewed
  renowned journals
• Research publications by corresponding authors in clinical virology in
  peer-reviewed Pubmed/SCI indexed journals.

• Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format available on the Institute’s website (www.iav.kerala.gov.in). Deadline for submitting applications: August 31, 2022; 5:00 p.m.
• Positions are vacant by department and candidates must exercise their choice of department at the time of submitting the application itself.
• The choice of department will be binding. The choice must be made carefully, based on your preferences, experience and references.
• All applications will be reviewed by a committee for the suitability of applicants for the
  positions applied on the basis of the self-assessment and the supporting documents submitted.
• Only applications submitted in the prescribed format; and from among applicants who meet all of the essential qualifications, with supporting evidence, will be considered for
  preselection.
• The Institute may shortlist a person for positions lower than those for which he applied (in the
  department for which the application is made) if the eligibility is for the lower position.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for an in-person interview by a
  selection committee constituted.
• No inquiries/correspondence/intermediate communication of any kind will be accepted during the selection process.
• The decision of the Selection Committee will be final and binding.
• Any solicitation will automatically result in the disqualification of the application.
