Daredevil’s Charlie Cox Explains Who The Better Spider-Man Is

Spider-Man: No Coming Home delivered a rare moment where the film brought together the three Spider-Men from different generations. Directed by Jon Watts, the MCU movie pushed the multiverse to the fore by bringing back villains from the past Spider Man films like Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin and Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus. However, the big surprise came when Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s web crawlers came on the scene to help Tom Holland’s MCU hero.
Maguire and Garfield’s involvement in No coming home rekindled conversations where Spider-Man stands out the most. The topic dominated social media throughout the film’s theatrical run, leaving fans to comment on their respective picks.

The conversation even focused on the best Spider-Man movie, which led to more discussions online. Now, a Marvel actor has been invited to join the debate.
Charlie Cox can’t choose which Spider-Man is better
Daredevil actor Charlie Cox was invited to the 10th edition of the Middle East Film and Comic Con event in Abu Dhabi.
During the event, Cox was asked which Spider-Man was best for him. The Marvel actor initially admitted he couldn’t answer the question, citing the fact that he’s best friends with Andrew Garfield.

However, Cox has always praised the three Spider-Man actors, saying they “bring something amazing” to the role:
“I’m sorry. I can’t answer that. André [Garfield] is one of my best friends. Look, Tobey [Maguire]’s the original, Andrew is one of the greatest actors of the generation and one of my best friends, and Tom [Holland] is the right age. You know what I mean? As with all due respect to other grandfathers, he [a] youthful energy, and his naivety and excitement are like, ‘yes!’ You know what I mean? All three bring something incredible to this role. So, good question.

Cox’s brief description of what makes each Spider-man actor unique to one another should serve as a fitting reminder that a debate isn’t always necessary to appreciate an iconic character.
Before No coming home, it’s safe to assume that no one thought all three Spider-Men would unite in one movie. However, that all changed when the trio came out, giving fans a deeper look at the different portrayals of Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland.
At this point, it’s unclear if the three Spider-Men will reunite again in a future project, but it looks like the Spider-Man debate will live on, with No coming home add more fuel to the fire.
